Richard F. Weeks

Richard Weeks is the Deputy Director for Operations at the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) in Virginia. Prior to this position, Mr. Weeks served as Regional Director for DEQ’s Roanoke regional office, Compliance and Enforcement Manager for the Piedmont Regional Office, and the first Director of Administration overseeing the consolidation of the administrative functions of the four agencies that formed DEQ. Prior to the creation of DEQ, he was Deputy Executive Director for Policy for the State Water Control Board. Before beginning his career with the State, Mr. Weeks was Associate Director of the Virginia Municipal League.

Mr. Weeks was appointed to the Southeast Compact Commission in November 2002 to serve as a Commissioner.
