Michael W. Forster has worked for the State of Alabama for 23 years and serves as the Recycling Coordinator in the State Energy Office and Solid Waste Branch of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. Mr. Foster graduated from Auburn University and has pursued graduate work at the University of Oklahoma and Troy State University in Public Administration and Personnel Management.
Mr. Forster represents Alabama on the Southern States Waste Management Coalition and serves as a member of the State Scrap Tire Study Commission and the Board of Directors of Keep Alabama Beautiful, the Alabama Recycling Coalition, and Legacy – Partners in Environmental Education.
Mr. Forster was appointed to serve as an Alternate Commissioner on the Southeast Compact Commission in June 2001.
