William Passetti

William Passetti is the Chief of the Bureau of Radiation Control in Florida’s Department of Health. He is responsible for several statewide radiation programs that include; the regulation of over 1500 radioactive materials facilities, 40,000 radiation machines, radiological emergency response, environmental radiation monitoring, and the inspection of low-level radioactive waste shipments.

Bill received his B.S. degree in Radiologic Science from the Medical College of Georgia and has over 20 years of experience in medical and regulatory radiation safety issues. He has served in the past as an Alternate Commissioner and was appointed by Governor Bush in 2005 as a Commissioner.
